There was wide destruction on the Gulf Coast of Florida from Hurricane Milton, but it wasn’t as bad in some areas as officials had feared. Storm surges flooded some communities, while others were flooded by torrential rains, leading to hundreds of rescues. At least 12 people were reported killed.
