Firefighters battle massive California wildfire amid blistering heat

A massive wildfire has now burned more than 3,500 acres in northern California, and officials say triple-digit heat is making the battle all the more difficult. More than 140 million Americans were under heat alerts in the West and other parts of the country. NBC News’ Steve Patterson reports.
