When Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022, Volodymyr Dzubinskij put his Olympic rowing dreams on hold and enlisted. The war took his leg and his frontline best friend, a fellow athlete, but it also motivated him to get back in the boat, fighting for a place on Ukraine’s Paralympic team.
