U.S. Air Force Col. Erick Gilbert managed to visit 28 of all 30 MLB ballparks with his family before his oldest son, Dane, turned 18 years old. But Gilbert died of a sudden illness two ballparks shy of achieving their dream. This past weekend, the Tampa Bay Rays and Miami Marlins helped his family make that dream come true. NBC News’ Sam Brock has the story.
